# Locations

> Compare top bids by county, state, or country and start a bid from any location.

The Locations pages are your market research. They list every place you can bid on, with the current top bid for each, so you can spot where competition is fierce and where leads are going for a song before you commit any money.

Find them under **Locations** in the sidebar. You'll see one page for each level your provider lets you bid on (**Counties**, **States**, and **Countries**). If you can only bid statewide, for example, you'll only see **States**. Your provider may use a different word for a level, such as "Provinces" for Canadian states.

## What you'll see

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Name** | The county, state, or country |
| **State** or **Country** | Where it sits (counties show their state, and states show their country) |
| **Top Bid** | The highest current bid there. Without a lead type filter, this is the highest bid across all lead types. |

Click **Top Bid** to sort by it, highest or lowest first, or **Name** to sort alphabetically.

## Narrowing the list

* **Search** by name.
* Pick a **Lead type** to see top bids for just that type. Do this before comparing prices, because top bids for different lead types can be very different.
* Pick one or more states under **State** (on **Counties**) to see only their counties. You can also filter from the **State** column header.
* **Country** appears when your provider sells leads in more than one country.

## Bidding from a location

Each row ends with a button.

* **Place bid** opens the [New bid](https://docs.usejuiced.com/customer-portal/bids.md#creating-a-new-bid) dialog with that location already chosen, so you can go straight to setting prices.
* **View bids** appears when you already bid there. It opens the same dialog so you can review the lead types at that location and add more.

> If bidding isn't turned on for your account, the **Counties** page shows a message from your provider instead of the list. Contact them to get access.
